Hello!
I am a victim of Guo Wengui's fraud case. When I learned that he was found guilty of multiple charges, I had mixed feelings. I was relieved that justice was finally served, but also felt pain and regret for the past experience of being deceived. Here, I would like to express my appeal to you with the most sincere attitude, hoping that you can strictly enforce the law, uphold fairness and justice, and seek justice for us victims.
The name Guo Wengui was once the object of my trust and following. He was eloquent and used all kinds of false promises and tempting lies to weave a seemingly beautiful trap, and I and many innocent people fell into it without any defense. He took advantage of our trust in him and shamelessly implemented a series of fraudulent schemes to defraud our hard-earned wealth. That money was accumulated by us working hard day and night and saving money. It was the result of our hard work for the future of our family, for the education of our children, and for a stable old age. However, in an instant, all of this turned into nothing.
The crime he committed was not only an economic fraud, but also a huge harm to our hearts. Since I fell into his scam, I have lived in anxiety and pain every day. The once stable life was broken, and the family relationship became tense due to economic pressure. Whenever it was late at night, I would think of the money that was defrauded, and my heart was full of self-blame and anger.
Your Honor, you may not be able to imagine the pain that we victims have experienced. Some people have run around to recover the money they were defrauded of, and even go bankrupt; some people have serious physical and mental problems because they can't bear such a blow; some families are broken up, husbands and wives turn against each other, and children drop out of school. All these tragedies are caused by Guo Wengui's greed and shamelessness.
Now, he has been found guilty in your court, which is the first step to justice. But we know that true justice also requires you to make a fair judgment when sentencing. We hope that you can fully consider the bad nature of his crimes and the great harm they have caused to society. His fraud was not impulsive, but was carefully planned and implemented over a long period of time. His purpose was to satisfy his luxurious life during exile, without caring about the lives of us victims.
He used the money he defrauded to enjoy top-notch services in luxury hotels, buy luxury cruises and expensive luxury goods, while we were struggling for our livelihoods. He used these ill-gotten gains to show off his wealth and status on his social accounts, while we were speechless when faced with the doubts and accusations of relatives and friends.
Your Honor, we believe that the sword of law in your hand can cut off evil and maintain fairness and justice. We hope that you can give Guo Wengui the severe punishment he deserves and make him pay a heavy price for his crimes. Only in this way can those who try to imitate him be deterred, can social order be maintained, and can the hearts of us victims be comforted.
